I went on holiday immediately after stopping work to LA and Japan for 3 weeks all up. This was a great trip, but didn’t feel any different to taking a usual 2ish week overseas holiday at the end of a work year.

I am back in Sydney now, and the sabbatical feeling is really starting to kick in. Week 1 was quite tame - my goal was to break the back of the apartment tidying (throwing things and relocating things for storage at my parents’ place). This was successful, and now I’ve really started the Sabbatical.
